Aqua Oceanfront Resort

Water Sports

Aqua Wellness Resort sits on a white‐sand beach on Redonda Bay, a perfect half‐moon‐shaped cove that is backed by dramatic rock cliffs.

Aqua offers every water activity under the sun

In Spanish, “redonda” means round, and the name comes from the two points of rock that jut into the sea at either end of the bay, creating one of the most protected swimming beaches on Nicaragua’s Pacific coast. In fact, Aqua’s beach was recently named one of the best in Latin America. Our beach is superb for body surfing, snorkeling, kayaking, stand‐up paddle boarding, paddle‐board fishing, swimming for all ages, building sand castles or just plain lounging – in a chair or a hammock.

The perfect, private beach

Though all beaches in Nicaragua are public, due to its limited accessibility, our beach is de‐facto private. Aqua’s staff keeps it immaculately clean and protects the turtles that come ashore to lay eggs. On a moon‐lit night, there is no better beach for a stroll or a swim, especially on nights when the bioluminescent algae shimmer silver in the water.

All gear is complimentary

Aqua guests are welcome to the available complimentary use of water‐sports gear, including snorkels and fins, kayaks, boogie boards and stand‐up paddleboards. We also offer instructions in surfing, kayaking, paddleboarding, snorkeling and traditional Nicaraguan fishing techniques for an additional charge.
